This is the first in a series of 9 blogs. It takes 9 things to be successful and they are found in Galatians 5:22-23. The fruits of the spirit will all be explored here, together, you and I.
“The fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance; against such there is no law.
This first day, we’ll explore Joy.
What is joy? How do we get it? Why is it so important that we have joy in order to become successful?
We are all given a unique set of gifts, personalized, just for us, by YOUR MAN, Jesus Christ! Put your hands together y’all! Thank you Jesus! For we are “fearfully and wonderfully made.” Psalm 139:14
We are to use those gifts to glorify God, plain and simple.
I don’t know about you, but I cannot be joyful in the Lord if I‘m betraying myself–meaning, not following my dreams (which are now goals–they’re REAL! Jesus woke me up!) or not loving others. It’s who I am-NOT what I do!
Joy is eternal, it is not circumstantial, because God gives us joy. Happiness is fleeting.
Joy is giving selflessly without expectations of others only expecting of God.
Joy is giving because I want to, not because I feel guilty or obligated. THat’s how God gives and I see it’s the only way to live. It feels right, and it is.
What does joy mean to you?
Comment here, or email me. I’d LOVE to hear from you! Thanks so much for reading!
In Gratitude and Love Always,
