Sprouting is a lot easier than I made it out to be. I’ll give it to ya straight up, nice and easy. First I wanna tell you why sprouting is so good for us. I have noticed more energy and less problems with pain in my body since I began eating sprouts. My own sprouts are much better than store bought. More nutrients that you need daily are left in the beans when they are sprouted.
The beans must be soaked overnight, but for sprouting you soak them in about 2 cups water in a container (preferably glass, but whatever you feel comfortable using.) with a paper towel or cheesecloth over the top with a rubber band. Then you want to rinse the beans the following morning. put them back in the covered jar. Keep it away from sunlight and direct heat. Every day rinse and strain your beans 2-3 times, and put the paper towel with rubber band back on. When you get the desired length of “tail” (sprouts) then you may eat them! It takes about 3 days, but you can go up to 6 days with some sprouts. You can store them for up to 3-4 days I’d say, but eat them asap. Also, if anyone tries freezing them and it works let me know!
